25 Mar The controversy of the Hong Kong Food Trucks
We tried them for the first time this week on a #nighttour, a pineapple bun with pineapple cream from the food trucks… nice idea but the nicest thing was tradional bun, not the filling!
Food Trucks were the brain-child of the former Chief Finance Secretary, John Tsang, who came up with the idea after a trip the the US. Unfortunately they have received much criticism due to anti-competition restrictions, limited and badly thought-out locations for vendors, and a mis-marketing drive chasing tourists who think they are too expensive and not very authentic anyway. A big hill to climb if you own one.
