Family Tours Hong Kong

At Hong Kong Greeters we are experts in family tours of Hong Kong. We understand that it’s not just where you travel but how you travel as a family that can make all the difference. Hong Kong is a surprisingly family friendly city, and we structure our family tours to ensure that the youngest members of the family have fun while exploring the city. We can provide strollers for young children and will ensure we plan our itinerary to suit your preferences and requirements at all times. And best thing of all about our family tours, children 16 and under are completely FREE.

Our guides are parents themselves and so we know how to cater for all the family to make your tour as hassle free as possible. We have varied itineraries for teens to toddlers – from iconic transport, to shopping, to animals, to food and many more surprises.

On one of our family walking tours, you and your family will get you acquainted with the sights, smells and tastes of the real Hong Kong, what it means to live in this city, its history and culture plus we will have you tasting some of the most amazing street food (nothing dodgy we promise and only if you want to!). From egg tarts to egg waffles from dim sum to char sui, Hong Kong’s vibrant food scene has something for everyone, and we will make sure you sample the highlights during your time with us.

On a private family walking tour of Hong Kong, you will experience all the wonderful public transport Hong Kong has to offer. We will take you on the very efficient underground train system, the MTR, the bus, and the ferry services that connect the Island with the rest of Hong Kong.

Our time on public transport is the perfect opportunity to understand what the city has to offer and to see it at its best, up close and personal. Hong Kong’s public transport is a particular hit with young members of the family and throughout all of our tours, we do our best to accommodate the needs of everyone, whatever their ages!

Just a few things we have done on our kids tours…

Victoria Peak

Touring Hong Kong Panorama

Victoria Peak was nce inhabited by pirates and is a must-stop visit on your trip to Hong Kong. Immerse yourself in the panoramic view of Hong Kong Island and Kowloon Peninsula, and get close to some of the most expensive real-estate in the world – nothing sets the density, money and scale of the city better! [Optional return by Peak Tram funicular].

Stanley Market

Stanley Market

One must-do trip for visitors to Hong Kong is a shopping trip to Stanley market, which is famous for fashion, Chinese crafts and paintings. You can pick up souvenirs, gifts for family back home and enjoy a stroll around this quiet, beachside suburb of Hong Kong.

You will experience a trip on one of Hong Kong’s iconic buses to discover sweeping sea views as you travel over the south of the Island. It is remarkable to see how quickly the bustling city streets give way to luxury apartment blocks and villas with vistas over the South China Sea as we make our way to one of Hong Kong’s wealthiest areas.

Star Ferry & Victoria Harbour

Tour Star Ferry Hong Kong

A must-do with kids is to ride the Star Ferry across Victoria Harbour, voted one of the best ferry rides in the world. Running transfers across the harbour for over 100 years, this iconic boat must be included on your Hong Kong itinerary.

“We had a 6 hour private car tour of key highlights of Hong Kong with Amy. She was an amazing host to our family of four including two young children. Being a mom herself, she was so accommodating and helpful with our family routine and needs... Such a treat to be in the company of a local who is so hospitable, knowledgeable and interesting to spend the day with.
We had an amazing day out with Amy. Recommendation without hesitation!”

family tours Hong Kong“This was a really personal visit of the fishing village and the tour guide really knew her “stuff”. We had little kids with us and it was HOT and Nadia did a great job to ensure they were entertained and occupied. She even carried their bags when they got tired.

We loved the walk around the fishing village and there was a short boat trip… An excellent tour company with brilliant tour offers.”
