The best food and culture on a private night tour of Hong Kong

Activity level Easy

Hong Kong comes alive after 6pm – let me show you how and let’s have fun.

I always want you to get the most from Hong Kong and so will adapt the tour to suit you. There is something special about Hong Kong in the dark… my particular favourites are taking the Star Ferry and seeing the famous skyline shining bright (get your camera ready!)

However, there is so much more to see… we can visit the markets for their atmosphere, neon signage and bargains; put a curse on an enemy(!); test our luck on a race at the Happy Valley Race course*; have a very special foot massage; eat street food like a local; visit one of the famous and delicious novelty cafés; put a curse on your enemies; absorb the atmosphere whilst travelling along the longest outdoor escalator; have your fortune told and finish off by having a drink in an exclusive rooftop bar.

My evening tours are tailor-made, so if you have any specific wishes, it can absolutely be sorted for you.

Itinerary

We’ll stop in 3 iconic districts and take the Star Ferry across Victoria Harbour.

Likely starting in Central and finishing in Mong Kok (although this is flexible). . . Along the way, we visit the skyscrapers in close-up, the Midlevels escalator and outdoor cooked food market, hop on the ding ding tram, take the Star Ferry across the harbour for the Symphony of Lights show, enjoy the Tsim Sha Tsui promenade and finish at the Ladies Market, a complete assault of the senses.

This is a great mix of seeing the iconic tourist spots and getting to the heart of Hong Kong and Kowloon. Of course this itinerary can be modified if you are looking for something slightly different in the evening – maybe more food stops, maybe more drinking stops. . . maybe we end at the Happy Valley Racecourse. Admission to Happy Valley Race course is HK $10, 18+ years only, Wednesdays. Stakes $20 – $20, 000+!!
